This series consists of a register of all persons elected to the Alabama Senate in the Alabama legislative elections between 1871 and 1894. Included are the Senate district numbers, the names of the elected Senators, the names of the counties that are included in the districts, the dates when the Senators were elected, the Senators' post office addresses, and any special remarks concerning the elected Senators. The remarks record such information as the date of death of a Senator while still serving as a member of the Legislature, or the date upon which the legislator resigned.
